I grew up in Virginia. Moved to Dallas about 3 years ago because of the strong Muslim community here. I'm very passionate about being involved in the Muslim community. From coaching to counseling to event planning and initiating projects where I see a void. Attending lectures, conferences and going to the masjid are a regular part of my life. I enjoy listening to ted talks and watching motivational/self improvement and home decor videos. On the weekend you might find me at the library (currently into biographies), rollerblading, going to museums, at Michaels/JoAnn fabrics (I love crafts and taught myself to sew during covid) or outdoors.. not a tree hugger but boating or a hike sounds nice :) Have lived abroad for some years in Saudi, Dubai and Pakistan. Living in Muslim countries was a very enlightening and insightful experience alhumdulilah. I have visited Malaysia, UK, Canada and Qatar. I haven't explored within America as much and would love to do road trips but in moderation. Yearly vacation sounds good. Sometimes it's nice to just enjoy things locally or just be home n enjoy family time. It's the simple things that really help you bond like playing board games, cooking together or sharing your day over dinner. I have 3 children who live with me and are homeschooled.
