Originally Syrian, born and raised in Canada. I have a BA in Sociology and I work as a fundraising specialist with Islamic Relief Canada. I also teach Islamic Studies to high schoolers at an Islamic school. I’m looking for someone mature, responsible, fluent in Arabic (includes reading and writing) and already practicing their deen in a grounded, consistent way. Someone generous, a thinker, emotionally kind, and naturally has an alpha personality. About me: I love animals (i own a cockatiel), biking, photography, YouTube, music, and traveling when life allows. I haven’t visited a real desert with the huge dunes yet, but I’m in love with desert culture and the Bedouin vibe. I also love learning about tribes, cultures, and how people connect… the sociology side of me is alive and well lol I love enjoying life and I love to laugh. I’m not perfect, but I’m mindful of my boundaries and my deen. I’m not super strict, but I’m definitely not liberal. Things like free mixing without limits, ignoring Islamic boundaries, not lowering the gaze, or being careless on social media just aren’t my vibe. If you don’t follow this, then don’t like my profile. I want someone that already practices what I practice. I’m looking for someone passionate about doing something for the ummah, not just eat, sleep and pray. P.s. if you’re looking to chitchat and not talk serious stuff, then I’m not your girl.
