Bismillah From darkness to light Alhamdullilah I raised 9 kids, My oldest son Nuh Assadullah returned to Allah at the age of 26. May Allah be pleased with him, and my oldest daughter Daisy,23,from my first marriage of 9 years.. Two sons,Sadeeq Amin 19 and Yaseen Adonis 12,and two daughters,Sumayah Amina 17,and Madina Anna Maria 14. 3 step kids, Isaac,23,Jamilla,21,and Amir,20 From my second marriage of 18 years. I made shahada around 1993. I was raised in a non religious family.My mother was loose with God and didn’t deny God,but didn’t really adhere to any particular religion. My father was a disbeliever in God and didn’t teach me much,except what not to do with my life. Alhamdullilah his disbelief only pushed me closer to Haqq,and my mom’s laid back,easygoing approach to God,left the door open for me to find be my own way. ShukrAllah I learned things the hard way and after almost twenty years stumbling and struggling through jahaleeya,I arrived at Allahs Rahman rather than an early grave,or behind bars. Alhamdullilah! But all the ups and downs, Highs and lows, Victories and defeats are very much alive in the man. We never really know until we know right? We can empathize and connect,and try our best to walk in somebody else’s shoes,so as not to make the same mistakes they made.But we never really truly know until we walk ourselves into our own trouble. “God bless my soul, before I put my foot down and begin to stroll, Into the drama I built.” (Albert Johnson) Prodigy It’s all water under the bridge right? Istughfirrllah and proceed. Live and learn. A Muslim doesn’t get stung from the same hole twice. Most times… I don’t allege that I haven’t been hardheaded a few times,and had to learn some of life’s lessons the hard way,because I followed my ego a little too far. Alhamdullilah I always held onto the rope of Allah and Allah has never let me slip from His religion. Alhamdullilah ShukrAllah My struggle,heartbreak,loss and failure has only served to sharpen my sword and solidify my Imaan in Allahs Qadr,and His divine Wisdom in my life. Allah found me like a dirty piece of steel and iron in the dirt and threw me in the fire to soften my heart and weaken my ego. Then He took me out of the fire to beat me into the shape he wanted. After I found my shape He threw me back into the fire to burn away impurities and solidify my purpose. Again He took me out and beat me into the shape of a sword. He sharpened my blade and crafted my hilt and polished my heart to love Allah and his Messenger first before all others. May Allah adorn my saif with the precious love and affection of my beloved woman,My Qadr wife, My true beloved muslimah that will be the jewels and priceless stones Allah uses to beautify my SaifAllah with kindness and grace,true love and affection. I’m a hardworking man,A leader to my children and the best example of a Muslim man that I can be. I don’t follow doonya trends and stand firm in my deen. I teach my kids to be leaders and not followers aswell as being grateful and thankful to Allah for all of our blessings. I’m allergic to negative energy and require kindness and compassion from my wife. A kind word from the woman you love is the most precious medicine for a Muslim man. Salamu Alaikum, The Prophet (s) said, "Verily, I have only been sent to perfect good character" and that is what I have been focused on doing since I reverted to Islam when I was 21. Islam is my deen, my way of life, and I strive to teach my family the importance of correct belief, acts of worship, and the good manners that should be developed alongside them, so that they can be successful in this life and the hereafter, insha Allah. Regarding my family, I have two beautiful (on the inside and out) teenage twin girls. Their mother is an equally beautiful person and although we couldn't make our marriage work in the end, we continue to work closely together to raise our daughters, alhamdulillah. This and the fact that I am an only child who needs to help his aging parents are the reasons I cannot relocate at this time. I am by nature a very positive and forgiving person who tries to make the most out of life, whatever the circumstances. If you fall down I'll be there to help you back up. If someone wrongs me but and are remorseful and do their best to change, I will do my best to be forbearing and forgiving to them. Others often describe me as a dutiful, honest, and positive person. I take my responsibilities seriously and believe that a man's word should be iron: whatever he says he will do he had better do everything in his power to make it happen. I'm more introverted than extroverted, and am a better writer than speaker, but overall I consider myself pretty socially balanced. I enjoy time to myself as well as with friends and family. But back-to-back social activities definitely drain my energy, so I'll need some time to myself to recharge my battery. I'm highly analytical and enjoy planning ahead or "tying my camel" whenever appropriate. I'm naturally inquisitive and enjoy asking questions and learning and try to maintain a healthy curiosity. I usually make decisions by thinking through them, but that's not always the case, emotions can play a role too. Financially speaking, I earn an IT Professional's salary, own my own home, live modestly, and consistently save / invest. In my spare time I enjoy long walks by myself or with my family, and with a little encouragement, other outdoor activities and sports. Physical health and fitness are important to me! I enjoy time indoors - PC games, tabletop games (e.g. D&D), watching movies [I love fantasy themes like Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Dune, and Game of Thrones], learning about history, and dining with family and friends. I have a good sense of humor and enjoy expressing love, affection, and support to my family members. Oh, and I love cats and coffee. I've travelled to about 15 countries. And I've performed the Hajj [but would love to go again, insha Allah].
