Salam and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I think family and loved ones would describe me as quite a conscientious person. I am driven and like to set goals for myself, both personally and professionally. I’m friendly, approachable and take the time to make sure others feel comfortable in social situations. Alhamdoulila I am lucky to be in a profession I love - education. I started out teaching English in school, colleges and sixth-forms full-time and worked my way up in leadership. Currently, I’m an Assistant Headteacher in a secondary school. I’ve been raised in a moderately practicing, traditional family. My parents are hard-working and raised my siblings and I to have high morals and live law-abiding lives. We are very family orientated, but also understand what it means to respect each other’s privacy. I wear hijab, pray five times, fast etc. I would like to continue working on my deen and would like to go on this journey with my future husband so we can support each other. In my free time, I like to read a lot. I am working on some writing projects that I am very passionate about. I like keeping up with world events and current affairs. I find long drives therapeutic and am not averse to hopping in the car in the summer months to watch sunrise at the beach. I enjoy spending time with family and friends - going to the theatre, cinema or out to eat. Last but not least, I love a lazy afternoon on a windy day with the rain pelting on the window outside, watching a good film with my adorable cat on my lap :-) It would be wonderful to meet someone, who is like-minded and someone who would like to go a journey of growth together. I haven’t travelled as much as I would have liked to and look forward to having adventures with my husband where I can further broaden my experiences and vice versa. I wish you the best of luck on this journey and look forward to speaking with you.

***UNAVAILABLE FOR COMMUNICATION*** I am NOT looking for a husband here, so please don't act illiterate. Also, if I blocked you bcs you are being a nuisance and you can still see my profile bcs you keep making new profiles to contact me, please see a therapist, bcs this level of obsession with a complete stranger is scary. I am a social psychologist and therapist by profession, and I am emphatically and explicitly NOT seeking a husband on here — rather this is a means of observing social conduct in the Muslim marriage seeking sphere. Feel free to message if you would like to volunteer as a case-study or are in need of therapy. "Throw out your conceited opinions, for it is impossible for a person to begin to learn what he thinks he already knows.” Epictetus, Discourses, 2.17.1 It can be tempting to let our egos get in the way when it comes to learning new things or even more about the things we believe to be well-informed of, but what it does is limit our potential for growth by closing us off from the possibility of gaining knowledge and new insights. Maintaining a growth mindset actively is an essential part of self-improvement and thus living well [aligned with the fitrah]. Take, for instance, a person who believes they've mastered a skill such as leadership. They may benefit from learning of new ways to optimally lead their team or organisation — such as embodying empathy and facilitating openness in communication, encouraging the sharing of ideas, and implementing new project management styles for more efficient and effective teamwork. However, take everything with a grain of salt — as it's equally important to understand what aligns with your goals and values, and what doesn't. This is even moreso essential when it comes to seeking a spouse, who will be your companion in this life and the next inShaa'Allaah Ta'ala. You may come across information that challenges your beliefs, like scientific research that contradicts religious beliefs. This is where critical thinking becomes crucial, but the foundation of emaan is imperative, for without a solid foumdation, everything will crumble, authubillah. By balancing openness with cautious and conscious learning, we can navigate many intricacies appropriately inShaa'Allaah Ta'ala. Marcus Aurelius interestingly says in Meditations: "From Rusticus I learned to read carefully and not be satisfied with a rough understanding of the whole, and to not agree too quickly with those who have a lot to say about something." I pray all the best for everyone who is sincerely seeking a spouse 🤲🏽😊 and may Allaah Ta'ala deal with those who seek to deceive, harm or harass His Believing Slaves yaa Elahi 🤲🏼☝️⚡️
