This here is a rather extensive piece of information about me, which will hopefully give you enough of an idea of who I am to know if we are compatible enough to take things a step further. Me: I have been born and raised in Riyadh, by loving and strict parents. The major part of my education was acquired in international schools in Riyadh, in a very diverse multicultural Muslim environment. Living in a place with such diversity has helped make me tolerant and develop emotional intelligence. I enjoy interacting with different types of people, nationalities, and personalities. Personality: I am an ambivert, and have many quality friends, Alhamdulillah. Making new friends comes easy to me. My sisters are on top of the list. At the same time, I love my personal space. I respect other people’s views in different matters. Alhamdulillah, I don't entertain backbiting. I would say that I am kind, honest, cooperative, and open minded, adventurous and relish the experience of trying out new things. I am passionate about being generous, the more you give, the more you get from Allah. Religious views : I follow the Quran and Sunnah, according to the understanding of the Salaf us Saliheen. I respect all of the major madhahib, but do not restrict myself to their opinions. I believe that the scholars of each madhab were human beings, with all their insights, they weren’t infallible. So I try to follow the opinion that is closest to the Quran and Sunnah. I observe the Hijab as well as Niqab (face veil). I consider music to be impermissible. I am a student of knowledge. I find my self agreeing with lots (or most things) said by Saudi scholars, however I find few of their opinions to be too strict or sometimes not inclusive of all muslim cultures. Studies: I am a life long student. Learning makes me happy. I have a B.Ed., and am now studying to attain a Bachelors' degree (This would be my second one) in Islamic Psychology. I am always willing to learn from anyone and everyone. My younger brother likes talking about historical events and I enjoy learning from him. I also teach Islamic mini-courses as a hobby. Career wise, I am a primary school teacher. ( after marriage I am looking to settle as a house wife and committed mother with hobbies of her own but not a career) Islamic education: I am, Alhamdulillah, a Hafiza of the Quran. I have studied different sciences of the Quran. Such as methodology of Tafsir, qira'ah, Tajweed etc. May Allah accept it and help me apply it in my life. Ameen My teachers are a great influence on me. A lot of what I have seen and learned from them shapes who I am today. I have also studied Hadeeth courses such as "Mukhtasar Al-Bukhaari” and "Riyaadh al Saleheen”, as well as attended many short Islamic courses. I listen to the lectures of Dr.Farhat Hashmi, Asim Al Hakim, Dr.Bilal Phlips, lectures from Yaqeen institute, Muhammed Hijab, Mufti Menk, Ahmad Deedat and Yusuf Estes . (I say all of this not to boast/ brag at all, I believe in a platform like this one, one should try to depict honestly what they are and what they spend most of their time in) . Please don't understand from this that I beleive in everything these islamic figures say, but I do find most of what they say admirable and relate to it. Hobbies: I love going out to parks, picnics, walks and to visit different places, trying new cuisines, circus (we have halal ones here) , exhibitions, resort, running and mountain climbing makes me feel great. I love drawing, DIYs and decoration, wrapping gifts, painting walls. I can spend hours crafting and designing without realizing how fast the time is going by. I enjoy listening to Podcasts and TED talks, especially on all aspects of self-improvement. Buying gifts for family and friends makes me very happy. I enjoy a lot on Eid, and love family outings and religious gatherings. I have taught several Islamic short courses to teens, basically passing on knowledge to others as I learn myself. I am quite active in my local Dawah Centre and Islamic programs in my neighbourhood. Sometimes, during vacations, I invite neighbours kids over to my place so I can teach them some artwork. So long as there is time and space for my interests, I am a happy and a content person. Future Aspirations: I intend to always be attached to circles of Islamic learning in some way or other, attending and leading Halaqas, lectures, and meeting actively practicing sisters. I intend to study Sharia in depth and become a Daa'iyah, In Sha Allah. I am an active and healthy lifestyle enthusiast. I have attended BJJ and karate classes but couldn’t continue due to practical transportation issues. However, I want to learn Martial Arts, In Sha Allah. I am very much interested in swimming, horse riding and badminton. In future I want to invest in these skills, In Sha Allah. As for life after marriage, I want to be an active member in the local Islamic community, which will also open the doors of opportunity for my future kids. I prefer to be an active home maker, a supporting wife and a loving mother rather than focusing on a demanding career outside my home. I believe that spouses should respect each other's privacy, interests, goals, family and friends. I would be grateful to have a husband who is a friend, who really takes time to do things with me, to be able to share our thoughts, fears, dreams and hopes with each other. I would like to grow and learn together, and help each other with things like being punctual in prayers, maintaining ties of kinship, etc. Languages: I am trilingual. Fluent in English and Urdu. I would grade my Arabic fluency around 75% and I am actively increasing that level nowadays. I do understand some forms of Punjabi, as that's how my parent talk to each other at times. Physical appearence: Slim. Height 5.6 ft. Fair, attractive, wavy beautiful hair. Family : Immediate family members are 9. Dad is an engineer who works on Aramco projects ( recently retired) . Mom is an active home maker. Three sisters, who are all older than me, are married. The eldest one is settled in Jeddah, the second one is settled in Manchester and the third sister is settled in London. I am an aunt to 9 munchkins. Elder brother has recently moved to Pakistan to set up his hospitality business there. Younger brothers are students. Fathers side of the family are religiously a known family in Pakistan, grand dad was a known mufassir of quran. Please note writing a bio like this to me is a necessity I dont particularly enjoy, I am quite a fun individual alhamdulillah. At the same time quite dedicated. one thing which I would like my fututre husband to take a note of is my parents are both quite old, their primary lanuage of communication is urdu. Where they will live in 5 years from now is quite unknown, they plan to possibly move from Saudi, maybe to Pakistan or maybe to some other place in gulf or europe. After marriage I would like to still be able to serve them and attend to their needs (mostly my mother). ------------------------------------------------------------ NOTE FROM PARENTS: As for the picture exchange, we know fully well that physical compatibility is important, to you and to our daughter. Our daughter observes Hijab and Niqab (she is a niqabi by choice). We can't immediately show her picture to every person who shows some interest. Once you have been in touch with her Wali (father) and he is satisfied that basic compatibility exists, then we can arrange a video call so that both sides can see and talk to each other before marriage. Both of you will have plenty of opportunity to figure out compatibility in presence of a Wali. Disclaimer : This profile is handled by me, my father and my elder sister. All three of us are involved in any conversation going on here. But mostly my father, he finds this website little foreign and prefers WhatsApp conversation if he finds potential.
