I am a Nigerian Muslimah. I was born and raised in Kuwait. I live with my mother and siblings. I am a Muslimah who dresses modestly. The things that I am looking for in a potential husband are Deen, Character, Responsibility In terms of the Deen I'm looking for someone that is understanding, whose mentality and perception is of the way of Islam; the Qur'an and Sunnah and uses them as a guide for all is affairs, strictly staying from Bidah & Shirk. Someone who does not let cultural traditions (that contradicts Islam) dictated his affairs. I see my ideal partner as some who will be an exemplary role model to our future children. The character I think I would be most compatible with is a calm, reflective and levelheaded person who knows what he wants. Someone who is humble, kind, genuine, sincere and knows when to act and when to just listen. A person who knows how to have fun but can also hold his own in serious situations. I am looking for someone who understands and strives to fulfill all his responsibilities. In terms of the Deen and world matters. He must be financially stable and able to provide for a family (preferable should have a university degree). Someone who doesn’t miss a beat with his daily prayers and other obligations. In a nutshell I am looking for a partner who will bring out the best in me and stand with me through the trails of this life with hopes of achieving the eternal one. Narrated Anas ibn Malik Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "When a man marries, he has fulfilled half of the deen; so, let him fear Allah regarding the remaining half."
