My parents are very stringent and I love them dearly, in this course of marriage I do not want to hurt them hence I'm looking for a revert Muslim who will understand my situation. I am an empathetic soul. I love to lead a life where I could be of any help to people who are struggling. I also write during my free time and I have currently taken it as my profession. I am an editor in chief for an educational blog. Writing is a passion I would love to continue after marriage. I also like intellectual discussions which offers different perspectives of a matter. I am an avid reader, enjoy reading fiction and non fiction. My favourite book that changed my life is the Seerah of the Prophet PBUH by Martin Links. Islam is an integral part of my life and my aim is always please my Creator and meet the most beautiful human Prophet SAWS. 2nd time lucky maybe !
Salam. I a currently in the midst of my divorce proceedings. Seperated since more than a year. Mother to a 10 yr old son who is my reason to live. Still picking up the pieces of a broken marriage while having faith that it was Allah's plan and that there are better things in store in life ahead. I was a die-hard romantic and belived in the concept of soulmates but a bitter divorce has dampened my positivity which I am slowly trying to regain back. For me my partner needs to be my best friend and confidante and that is the single most important criteria for marriage. For me mental and emotional compatibility is very important and strong communication skills are the core of any relationship. If your someone who prefers the silent treatment and cold shoulder rather than maturely sitting and sorting the argument it's a big red flag.On the lighter side...I love dining out and am a major foodie and have an incurable sweet tooth. Love to travel and see new places. A bit of an introvert and take time to open up . A good soul who loves to help others and make someone else smile makes my day. I love a good laugh though I don't remember when I laughed out loud genuinely the last time. I am honest to the core and do not belive in lying or hiding important things from my partner. Since honesty is my forte I would like to inform that I have bipolar disorder and had my fair share of mental health issues all stress related but Alhamdulillah now things are in control and my faith in Allah has pulled me out from the dark and granted me shifa. Again honestly due to my age and health issues ( nothing chronic) I am not in the position to have children though I love them a lot. I also am struggling with obesity and look like a panda bear up close and personal :-) but then that's a given going by the fact that I love food and dessert way too much and too lazy to exercise but I am trying now to turn over a new leaf . Also I am too emotional as a person and cry at the drop of a hat ...a sentimental movie or seeing a person in pain or just a low phase...so if you are not caring and sensitive and cannot support or take care of my emotions I think you should stay far away from my profile 😊 Another honest fact I am too used to my independence hence prefer a nuclear family though I would be the most respectful and loving daughter in law but I am afraid living with in-laws is not something I am comfortable with. No offence.Lastly since my son resides in Bangalore I would not be able to relocate to any other city for few years as I cannot live without seeing my son as he is the light of my life. I am originally from Mumbai and that is where my family lives . I am pretty modern and progressive in my outlook towards life but a traditionalist and old school at heart. I don't wear the hijab and do wear western clothes though Indian wear is what I am most comfortable in . My dressing doesn't mean I am not a practicing Muslim and i pray namaz n recite Qur'an and my strong unwavering faith in Allah is what keeps me going.Well I guess I have been as honest and transparent as possible and will share more details once i am comfortable enough to do so.
