So first and foremost, I would say COMMUNICATION is key to any successful relationship. A sense of humour in a potential partner. Educated (not just in a degree, but also in life). A positive attutude to life: we are the directors of our own lives; we write our own stories. The "I'm a victim attitude" is a turn off.
