My primary language is English (unfortunately?) since I was born in the USA, and spent most of my life there. I made hijrah to Saudi Arabia in 2002, and I hope to continue living here till I die. It is not perfect, not at all. But it is what Allaah and His messenger want, and that is good enough for me. Any Muslim country will do, not just Saudi Arabia. I was born in Loma Linda, in southern California. My parents are from Egypt, with my mother having Turkish and Moroccan roots, and my father having Sudanese roots. In spite of all this mixed blood, I am for better or worse mostly American in culture. My citizenship is American, though I also have gotten an Egyptian ID card (once Egyptian, always Egyptian). I have lived/traveled to several countries, including: the USA, Mexico, Libya, Egypt, Indonesia, Malta, France, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, Holland, Australia, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. When it comes to work though, I have only worked in the USA and Saudi Arabia. In Saudi Arabia, I have worked as an assistant professor at Al-Imam Muhammad Islamic University in the Computer Science Department. At the same time, I pursued a Bachelor's in Islamic Law (fiqh) from the same university. Alhamdulillaah, I recently graduated by the grace of Allaah. Alhamdulillaah. If one does not speak Arabic well enough to read the Qur'aan and the books of Muslim scholars by oneself... forgive me, but that person is like a nearly blind person - and I speak from personal experience. If this offends, it does not change the truth. I advise myself and everyone: learn Arabic and Islaam directly from the source. I left the university recently, and started my own company. Alhamdulillaah. I am slowly beginning to stand on my own two feet again financially, and the future is very bright... Alhamdulillaah!
