Assalamu Alaikum! I'm Trevor Abdul Kabir, a 36 year old revert born in united states living in Sweden. Outpatient healthcare with mostly palliativ care and part time ambulans. I currently rent the bottom floor of a beautiful house in the woods right by a lake. Our upstairs neighbours are very kind and respectful. I live about 15 minutes drive to my hometown of Västervik which is a picturesque harbour town by the sea. My interests are gardening, spending time at the mosque, working out, hiking and fishing. Nature gives me peace and living in a city is not really my vibe. Religiously I am practising. I follow the five pillers always, even when my Iman is low. I read Quran daily in Arabic. I have done umra a few times and my heart years to go back. My Religious journey has had its ups and downs. I reverted 10 years ago and at first I fell into the trap of being far too much too soon and developed the spiritual disease of arrogance. Allah has humbled me, thankfully, and now I strive for balance and harmony. Mercy, humility and forgiveness are my main focus now in life. The modern world is very difficult for Muslims, especially living in the west and navigating thus will take more than stubborn hard headedness in my opinion. Some of my favourite books/authors are: The Alcemist Jed Mckenna Imam Ghazali Hamza Yusuf Yasmin moghdad Carl Jung I have 2 children, 4 and 2 years old. A boy and a girl. They are well behaved, loving and kind. Unfortunately my last marriage didn't work out because of incompatibility but we are still allies and we help each other with the children as best we can. I have the children with me 3-4 days a week. The most important things in a relationship for me is open and honest communication, especially when it comes to the hard discussions such as housework, finances, and maintaining some level of passion and intimacy. Making love creates love in a marriage. As a single father I have no problems cooking, cleaning and keeping up the housework.
