This is an option for Muslim men which comes with greater responsibility. when looking at it,the bigger picture it is a serious commitment. I follow the salaf in my practice & understanding of Islam. I am of indian origin married for many years with a happy family Alhamdullilah. On religious lines I pray five times a day everytime in the Masjid, when at home. I intend to read the Quran everyday but سُبْحَانَ اللّهُ I don't manage to do it regularly. Do strive to regularly fast on Monday,Thursday every week & 3 white days of the month. I DO NOT SHAKE HANDS with opposite sex ( الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ ) who are not my marhams & avoid unnecesary talks with them. I only communicate with non mahram only in workplace or in a dawah setting if no sisters around. الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ I DO NOT HAVE TV at home الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ , I believe the harm outweighs the benefit of having one with kids at home. I do agree one could only watch Islamic channels but this can only be done when your children are grown up. Insha Allah. I DO NOT LISTEN TO MUSIC either الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ I am someone who respects that women do needs their own free time & space to flourish on their strengths & overcome their weakness. I was born into a family of lot of women. I have 5 sisters & no brothers. I feel I able to understand women better more because of the same reason I believe knows best. I relish the responsibility of giving vision & ideas to my close ones based on Quran & sunnah. I am a person who reflects on all aspects of my life & ready to change for the better with Islamic reasoning. I do take the responsibility of being the head of the family seriously & do not shy away from making important decisions. I do apologise to anyone when I am wrong or when I could be wrong, more so to my own kids. I have shared role with my family to keep my house inorder with regards to cleanliness & discipline. I believe in talking to children with reasoning to improve behaviour. I have very rarely needed to sort to physical punishment Alhamdullilah as talking has worked almost always. I do have patience with kids,but I believe it will be unrealistic to have perfect patience as Allah (SWT) has created mankind impatient. Subhana Allah. I am UK qualified anaesthetist I do take physical exercise seriously keep trying to do them daily but struggle with work schedule. I am working now in Madinah at tertiary hospital as a Consultant physician. I have a comfortable earning الحمدلله to take care to all my family needs & even my third wife & family إن شاء الله.
