Hi, Before I go further, i would like to mention that I am still married to my first wife, but the relationship has gone sore and is going through turbulent times these days. She has asked for the divorce, but I am still trying to work it out as we have a beautiful daughter and I don't want her to grow wit the emotional trauma or baggage. I was well settled in my career and moved to Australia first time 5 years ago to begin a new life. A family crisis forced me to go back home, and then I spiralled down struggling with my career and the financial crisis which badly affected our marriage. My wife had been a great support given that I couldn't even hold a proper reception or take her on honey moon. My daughter was the twilight of our relationship, but soon things started going south, until the covid crisis resulted in me getting laid off. I ended up selling up my assets to make it through, and then eventually returned to Australia to start the life afresh. However, and as a result, the distance between us took a heavy toll on our relationship and eventually she left my house and started demanding for a divorce. I am trying my best to resolve as leaving Australia now wouldn't guarantee me securing a role within my field again, and I might get into financial crises again. I have already struggled a lot and saved the money for the spouse visa, while supporting my family (my mother, my wife and my daughter) financially back home. I wouldn't say I was the ideal husband; I had issues of my own which I believe also acted as a catalyst in worsening this relationship. I am not here seeking a second wife currently, I am more of a looking for an advise on hot to deal with this as I am mentally fatigued and exhausted. Polygamy is frowned upon by many as muslim men have a earned a bad name for themselves by not giving the security, or have just used someone for sex/ visa under the pretext of second wife. I am not looking for a second wife, but if someone is ok with my situation, or I have a change of mind, I may give it a serious through to avoid doing zina. Let me sure that this wouldn't be a hidden or a temporary marriage.
