Assalaam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatahu! Journeying through the maze of life, learning and experiencing everything the world has to offer. Ok so having been on this website for a while now, I’m afraid I have to impose some important criteria, as I'm kinda busy and there are a tonne of spammers out there wasting my time: I welcome your contact but ONLY if: -You are grounded and balanced in your outlook on life – if you are mentally unstable, I’m really sorry, I hope you get better soon, but seek advice from a professional, please don’t make it my problem, thank you. (Yes that’s said with a smirk, but a serious one) Examples of said instability would include for example proposing to me after reading my profile. To my dear 18 year old sisters – your attentions are very flattering, and whilst I look like I might be 18 years old, I’m nearly old enough to be your dad, so you should look for someone your own age. Thank you. Equally, I have a mother already thank you, so I’m not looking for another one. (Said with a humbleness and awkwardness) To my overly attractive sisters from certain Eastern European countries – please, give it up, I wasn’t born yesterday. This whole spiel of how you’ve been searching the internet for love and you’re certain you’ve found it with me – perleeeasseee.....it’s getting boring now. For goodness sake, the big clue is the fact you haven’t even read the profile before you profess your love for me – Doh! I don’t have the time or inclination to respond to ‘interests’. An intriguing message coupled with a good profile will attract my attention. Excluding vowels from your message, in other words text speak is a complete no-no – r u gttn me, innit? No Image = No Response. Period. Most human communication is undertaken visually. It’s only fair. Sure, you look like the beautiful queen Cleopatra so you don’t need an image – but what if I don’t like that look, you see what I’m saying? Comprende? You don’t have to plaster your image all over the place, but use your imagination – send me to your facebook/linkedin profile or your twitter feed or upload a pic somewhere and send me the link – I dunno – just do something! If you don’t get a reply, chill out, don’t worry about it, it could be for a million reasons – just accept that the universe decided that, and go with the flow. If you're Ok with these simple criteria, and you wish to read on, you’re very welcome...but buckle your seatbelt....

Peace. That's an interesting word. It can mean many things to many people. What does it mean to you?? People say it’s impossible to describe someone – and if you really think about it deeply enough - they are right. Because humans can be one of a million things, at any given time, depending on their emotions and beliefs and mind set. So, here are a few things that describe what I am, or have been, or will be, or could be: Smart, confident, deep, a bit cheeky, informal, professional, courteous, organised, impatient, full of positive energy, a bit moody, somewhat mysterious, unpredictable yet predictable, sensitive, strong, can be awkward, stubborn, competitive, challenging, reserved, boisterous. My life can be summarised as being spent working, looking after my only son, studying, researching, reading, developing myself, charity work, physical fitness and adventure, and tinkering with big fast loud shiny motorbikes. Oh, guess what, I didn’t say anything about my faith. If you can work out why, maybe you and I are on the same wavelength. Turn ons: A healthy mind with a sharp wit and a lovely, radiant smile that could stop a tornado; a strong sense of social justice; a do-er; a believer in God but not an absolutist; humility; slightly complicated; elegance, femininity, courtesy, self belief, internal strength, self control and awareness. Occasional total randomness is cool. Healthy body and healthy outlook are key. Turn Offs: Blaggers – I’m a psychologist by profession and I can spot them a mile off. It only takes the once, even a minor blag, and it’s adios from me. Ladies with dramatic lives - no thanks, been there got the postcard, didn’t like it, not going back. Selfishness. If somebody else calls you a princess, that’s ok, but if you call yourself a princess, well that’s just wrong on several levels. Over attachment to the family, friends and previous relationships. Finally – what am I looking for? Friends, networks and inspiration! If you are smart and exuding positivity, and you are alert and understand how to create your world around you every day, and you have life goals and work towards them every day, then I want you around me and welcome you into my life. If I find you are just gonna sap my positivity and bring me down, then I will say farewell with a smile and nothing but goodwill in my heart, and move along. I’m not precious about where you’re from, your ethnicity or cultural value system – if you believe in God and submit to Him, that’s enough. PS - Subservient maid-types need not apply - newsflash - I can cook, clean and look after myself. Oh, and as an added bonus, I know how to use a washing machine as well. Have a wonderful day!

More About Me

Favorite Movie:

Don't really have time for movies - why fill your wonderful mind up with pre-programmed garbage?? That said, La Haine and Scarface are classics and Occupation 101 is a heart-wrenching analysis of the horrific oppression of the Palestinians. A must-see for all who care about human rights.

Favorite Book:

"7 ways to cure massive procrastination". Is it any good? Don't know - I haven't read it yet

Favorite Food:

Fresh filtered coffee in the morning...mmmm... My body is a temple so it’s gotta be fresh, unprocessed, and high in protein, slow complex carbohydrates and essential fatty acids. Not a fan of nasty meat, but like loads of fish and veggies. No, I’m not obsessed about good nutrition, I just want my body in top condition cos I got big plans to change the world. Inshallah.

Favorite Music:

Shall we get into the whole "is music permissable" debate? Nah, not here. You see “It's like a jungle sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under”......

Dress Style:

Impeccable. Smart for work, casual for home and scruffy when I can't be bothered. But it helps that I'm extremely handsome and so look good in anything ;-)

Humor:

Dark, twisted and very specialised. Quite sarcastic.

Hobbies & Interests:

Too many to list. I'm a human rights activist and that takes up a lot of time. I'm politically astute. I'm a dad to my only son and I try my hardest to be his super hero. I climb mountains and love anything adventurous and outdoors. I hate the cold but I love the rain. I love motor racing and have a big fast motorbike that puts a smile on my face every time.

Travelled:

Gosh - Nepal, Pakistan, Turkey, India, Spain, France, Morocco, Germany, Brazil....just about to tour East and West Europe on my bike... I'd love to go to Africa, the rest of South America, and the Middle East. So much to do, so little time...

Cultural Adaption:

I prefer different cultures even though. 'culture' is a social construction - there is no such thing. If you are a practising Muslim, then that is enough. I have a lot of 'love' for those who reject the belief system they were brought up into and embrace the truth, as I find that more often than not, they are more serious about their faith and do not have cultural baggage.

Romance:

ummmmmm....that's a very personal question! Probably out in the forests, high up in the mountains, in a log cabin by a deep blue lake under the silent sky, in the presence of good company.

Personality:

Deep. I do like my own company and can be in isolation for long periods. I am a deep thinker, study logic and rationale, yet am deeply spiritual. I used to be an introvert, but since university and work and other experiences, I've matured into kind of a strong, silent type, who knows what he wants and doesn't tolerate incompetence. I'm very laid back, but the problem with that is, people see that as a sign of weakness and try and take advantage. That's where my other side comes in and I guess I can be a bit ruthless. Wow, that sounds pretty mixed up, doesn't it?

My Perfect Match is:

Interesting question. I don't believe in matching. I think sites like this are simply an anonymous method of marketing yourself. So I don't buy this matching stuff. Just get out there, create opportunities for yourself, and see what the universe brings to you.
