I'm well educated and well travelled – having lived in various countries during childhood and adulthood (U.S., Côte d'Ivoire, France, Japan, Yemen, Mauritius). I think this affords me a unique perspective while viewing the world, and understanding human interactions. Also, I'll say that these experiences have made me appreciate our differences and similarities even more, and I tend to develop stronger relationships with people from different cultures. I believe in a philosophy of "teach and learn," where cultural exchange is celebrated and not shunned, and ultimately hope to find a spouse with similar views in that regard. Aside from that, I'm an avid reader – I mostly read non-fiction; but there are a few novels that I have really enjoyed (Mariam Bâ, "So Long a Letter," ou en Français "Une si longue lettre"). I also enjoy working out, swimming, watching movies and documentaries, and cooking. I'm vegan; however, this does not mean I subscribe to that ideology, I am Muslim before anything else. I became vegan for health reasons, and would never say that something is Haram that Allah (SWT) has made Halal. In the right context I would eat meat (Eid al-Adha after Hajj, or an Aqeeqah) to follow the Sunnah and please Allah (SWT). Although, this is a serious endeavor that we're undertaking, I don't want to make it seem like I'm "stiff," I have a pretty ridiculous sense of humor once I feel comfortable around someone. I think with all things, as comfort levels grow, so does the ability to share. I'm not particularly in a hurry to find "a wife," I want to find "my wife." The woman Allah (SWT) has chosen for me.
